Roberts v. Flipper (Common Sense Supreme Court Ruling)

Not sure how many of you caught the ruling last week by the Supreme Court regarding the Navy being able to continue with sonar testing off the coast of California. At issue was whether or not the sonar could harm dolphins, whales and other types of marine mammals. Luckily, the Supreme Court ruled in the favor of common sense and the national interest of this country. I don't know about you but having the best military possible and conducting whatever tests for training that may keep our country safe seems like a no-brainer. Don't get me wrong, I love Flipper, but I love my wife, kids, and country more. If Flipper MAY be harmed (there was no conclusive determination that Flipper the dolphin, Andre the sea lion, and Willy the killer whale were even hurt) then that is a cause for the common good that simply has to be.

Disclaimer: I have a degree in biological science from Florida State University. Isn't it nice to know that common sense still trumps academia? Sphere: Related Content
